An investigation is underway as to what caused a fire at a Burger King in Muscatine.
The Muscatine Fire Department arrived to the fast food restaurant on Park Avenue just before 8 p.m. Monday night.
The fire marshal says crews found flames and smoke coming from the rear roof area of the building, in an area found later to be the vent of the kitchen hood.
Eleven firefighters knocked down the fire within a few minutes.
Officials estimate damages at $25,000.
There were no reports of injuries.
