The fact that this upcoming series will most likely reintroduce Foggy Nelson and Karen Page should come as good news to those who feel that bringing back these and other central characters is one key to "Daredevil: Born Again" meeting fans' sky-high expectations. That said, based on how Vincent D'Onofrio characterized the show in an interview with Newsweek, "Born Again" won't simply retread territory covered previously by Netflix's "Daredevil" but set itself apart from its predecessor in some notable ways.
"The show is going to be very, very different than the Netflix show, and it's so exciting because what we're doing is quite something," D'Onofrio said. "I think it's something that people are not going to expect."
The Kingpin actor then shared that he thinks "Born Again" will ideally pull off both addressing fans' desires — like bringing back Foggy and Karen — and telling an original, surprising story. So, while it's all-but-confirmed that these two former Netflix "Daredevil" characters are returning, it seems like the manner of their reintroduction may well differ from what fans might expect.
